Last August, abortion officially became illegal in Tennessee. But at our center we continue to talk to pregnant women about all of their options–including abortion.
Why do we do it? Because abortion continues to matter.
According to the CDC more than half of all pregnancies are unplanned. Women are still looking for answers and ideas on next steps for their surprise pregnancies. And we want to make sure that they know all the facts before traveling out of state or making a choice that could forever alter their lives.
Abortion Has Risks
We share the truth about the potential complications and lasting effects of the procedure because we care about women. Abortion is not always safe.
Feel Empowered Rather than Pressured
We also talk about abortion because we want women to be empowered to make their own choices, having all the facts about the options available to them.
Women should never feel pressured into an abortion.
Knowledge is power. We empower women by being up front about the risks of abortion and sharing realistic information about how parenting or adoption could work in their lives. Our support does not end when a woman makes a pregnancy decision, we care about her and offer to be a source of caring compassionate support regardless of her decision.
If a woman chooses parenting we can also offer practical help with parenting education for moms and dads and material items. No one has to walk through this journey alone.
